Love is T-shirts

I know I haven't posted in a while, but this will be a short one. The end of the year is approaching and I'm a bit stressed out. I did find time to do a t-shirt design for Threadless.com, so please vote on it!

They're Building A Coffin Your Size

Oi Oi! I gots me a store. It has a few products in it with the fragile productions logo on it. Go check it out!

More excitingness for me-I got my acceptance letter from SVA! So I'll be in NYC in fall as a sophmore again. They have a huge cartooning staff so I'm sure I'll get much better there :) Look forward to it!

Sunburnt in the Snow

I’m writing this on the train to publish later, headed to Utica from my spring break. I’m glad to be going back-there’s only so much of my parents I can take!-but I do wish I could have had more time with my friends. I spent most of the week in Florida. My uncle won a trip to Sea World and gave it to my family. I loved seeing the dolphins and whales and manatees, and I got to pet stingrays and a penguin! We also made a point to go to Universal, where I got to go on rides with my dad. The lines were awful but it was worth it. We also got to see both sets of grandparents and our old neighbors who moved down there about two years ago. I had to share a bed with my sister at the hotel, and she kicks. Every time she kneed me in the back, I woke up and punched her. Don’t mess with me when I’m sleepy! hehe I got tons of pressed pennies, not sure the exact count, but its probably close to 80! It’s getting to be an expensive obsession, but I love them and they’re really the only thing I collect :) The last day there I took the trolley by myself and went to the Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museum, which is awesome. Two headed animals and voodoo dolls were a nice way to end my vacation.

I watched the movie Shortbus, by the same director as Hedwig, with Cat and Brian last night. It was really funny-a favorite quote of mine from it is “I used to want to change the world, but now I just want to leave the room with a little bit of dignity”.

I put a warranty on my lucky printer today. Why is it lucky you ask? Because the guy who sold it to me gave me his number. It was my first number ever, I was very proud haha. I remember when I was with Clay he had a jar full of numbers. So I called the guy, Karl, but he hasn’t called me back yet-who told him I was crazy?

Oh, the pain...hahaha

These last couple weeks have been...interesting. I've been lied to, played and backstabbed. But I have my health, right? :D That's a joke. I feel sick every time I eat. Also in the last week I've seen three long term relationships dissolve, and I am beginning to wonder, is it worth it? Today would have been my five year anniversary with Clay, although we weren't really dating. I've begun to think that I'm undatable!

All that aside, I went on Top Web Comics and found that I'm number 381! I actually have about 176 votes, so if you've been voting for me, thank you! If not, and you would like to, please vote for me (I'm on page four now).

Oh Internet, I love/hate you

The internet's finally back! It's been out since Thursday *cries* so now that it's back, my comic is finally updated! Hooray! My gallery opening went well, I got the new comic done in time and made 10 dollars, not much I know, but enough to help pay for dinner. We went to Uno's and it was amazing-I had the steak and shrimp. Cheryl was sad the guy she likes didn't show up, but everyone that I wanted there was there :D thanks guys!

That's all for now-gotta go to Psychology!

Design Procedures class is a hoot

Hooray for finishing projects early and goofing off! So I'm 20 now, as of Monday. Do I feel different? No, not really :D My ex actually texted me on my birthday and surprised the hell outta me. Still don't think I ever want to see him again though :P Cheryl and Alex made me an ice cream cake under Alex's roommate Sean's supervision (it's his recipe). It was delicious!

Despite how happy I was on my birthday, I just have this feeling that something bad is going to happen, or maybe it has happened and I don't know about it? It's weird. Broke out my tarot deck the other day and pulled some interesting cards-they tell me that my problem is a female but to have optimism (thank you sun card!)

Soon I will have a new comic to put up on my website-I've been working my butt off to finish it in time for Cheryl and my gallery opening on Sunday at Melodic Revolution in Clinton, NY (near Utica) Six more pages and a cover-think I can make it? *falls over dead* I'll be damned if I don't try!

Can One Person Make a Decision for Two?

Man, I just thought the "lets just be friends" line was only used in movies. Was I ever wrong! I learned this week that it's better not to try. hmmm...that doesn't seem right, does it?

Oh well, my January submission for "wonder" on the Word It site is up, go check it out (it's the two at the bottom of the page) and I also have another comic in the College Crier. I think it's going to be a monthly thing, at least until I go back to Buffalo where there is no Crier. My gallery opening with my lovely roomate Cheryl is coming up too, but what day it is, I couldn't tell you ^^;;

That's it for now, we're gonna run and get some brunch before the cafeteria closes!

Arg.

Today's blog is brought to you by the need to vent and the number 3!

The feeling in my stomach can only be described as an icicle prodding from the inside. I can barely eat. Everything makes me gag. I threw up orange juice yesterday, which I didn't even know was possible!

I feel lost and confused. I hate being the only one in the world to seem to know what she wants, and I hate the fact that I can see the patheticness in others that I once killed in myself. Sorry to be vague. *hits head against wall*

But my birthday's coming up, so I'm going to try to be positive. I can't be sad on my birthday!

Emo Kids Smell Funny and I Hate Them.

Not really ALL of them! I just wanted to comment on how I seem to keep getting older as the other people going to concerts get younger and more annoying. I mean come on, do you have to scream along with every word?! Do you really like this band, because to me it seems like you want to drown them out with your awful-ass singing. But it was nice to get out and see a show with Cat and Litney, Kill Hannah is always awesome and The Pink Spiders was cool.

I'm glad break's almost done with, although I've been having anxiety about going back. I couldn't sleep last night. I went to bed at 3 like normal but just layed there for hours. When I finally fell alseep I got a few hours in before I jolted awake for no reason at 11 am. Today I helped out my dad at the antique mall, which was pretty cool. I love looking at all the stuff there. Then tonight we had a fairly large table at Denny's, where we recounted our favorite Toole memories (I'll never forget you burned that picture of the Pope!) Good times.

In other news, I have finally proven my theory about the conspiracy against girls with big boobs. After size C, they stop making bras with pretty patterns! Damn you, bra industry! I did find a nice push up that Cat convinced me to buy, although it was a bit pricey. Just when I thought my boobs couldn't look any more amazing! hahaha. (I'm not joking)

I Came, I Saw, I Ate

What have I been doing with my winter break? Well, since you didn’t ask, I’ll tell you that I have been putting all my energy into eating my parents out of house and home. After a semester of dealing with awful college buffet food, I need to unshrink my stomach. I was home for about ten minutes before I was into the cupboards. As long as my mom continues to stock up on fruit snacks and Pringles, I’m all set. Eating pickles at 3 am in my underwear? Why not? Plus, my uncle gave me a package of jerky about the size of a baby (I just compared jerky to a baby, what are you gonna do about it?!) Between that and egg-drop ramen (cook up the package with a scrambled egg-it’s good!), I have about 5 times the normal amount of sodium in my body. If I don’t make it back for next semester, you’ll know what happened. I have no regrets! And on a somewhat related note, my darling friend Cat, who took me out for dinner (are you surprised?) helped me realize that I shouldn’t feel bad for my feelings. I’m a passionate person. That’s how I roll, bitches. Now where’s my jerky?

Can I go back to School Yet?

I've been home a full day and I've had my fill. :( But school's been so full of drama and bullshit. *weighs options* hmm...At least I've finally figured out how to get online at my house! My comic's finally updated (only 16 hours after I usually do but it's still Saturday) and it's actually not too uncomfortable to work on a wobbly little end table. My grandma's 83 birthday is today and we are going out to dinner. Too bad my parents didn't decide to tell me until last night, after I had already made plans to visit my friends at Fredonia. I'm still going, just after dinner, but still, you think my mother would have told me during her numerous phone calls to me this last week. I think it's slightly more important that asking me if I wanted to get my hair cut, which she actually did. Here's hoping I have enough anime to last me until break's over!

I love NY

Ah where to begin...NYC in a nutshell, was fun, we got soaked during the parade and trampled at Macy's but I got some nice clothes and finally got to go to MOMA. The rest of break was alright, it was good to see some of my friends. I'm glad to be here for a couple more weeks though, although I have been working non stop and haven't got much sleep. I got 3 hours last night, 4 the night before, and 2 the night before that! Most of my projects are due next week and it's freaking me out a bit. However, the College Crier emailed with flattery and requests for more comics :D The comic that will be in this month's paper is also tomorrow's update.

Tomorrow is the craft show at our school. We went to Cheryl's house to make some cookies to sell. I'm also selling some jewelry and cards. Hopefully there will be a good turnout.

My Word It for December is up-The first one on page 2! Now I'm off to see if Photoshop will cooperate so I can do my Typography!

Have a Good Turkey Day!

Tomorrow I leave for home for my week long Thanksgiving break, and I have no idea if I'll be able to get internet there. So with that in mind, I posted this week's comic a day early. Yes, my dad actually says that. This week will probably prove to be quite busy, I have some friends to see, I'm going to my first Sabres Hockey game, and I'm heading to NYC for the parade on Wednesday. Hopefully I will get over this awful cold (Thanks, Alex ><) by then. Oh, and if anyone is getting PS3, can I come over?

I'm a Celibrity!

Haha, not really. However, My comic has been published in this month's College Crier! Otherwise, this week has been a blur of FFXII, Guitar Hero II, and getting hit in the face with a soccer ball. This week's comic features the return of the smoker guy from Fragile Productions #1! Be sure to check it out :)

Graffiti Penises

...is what we saw going into Brooklyn this morning. Didn't sleep last night because of the bus trip today. We left at 6 because it takes 5 hours to get there. It would have been a beautiful day to wander around Manhatten, but noooo, we had to get yaked at by Pratt Brooklyn staff all day. Since I don't plan on going there, it was pretty boring for me, and just assured me that there was no cartooning program for me. Oh, and they have cockroaches, and the room we saw was like a prison cell.
Going back in time, Halloween was fun at the gay bar, and I had a good weekend at home, got to see Cat and Angi and my family. The Impact Gallery reception was nice, though I didn't win it was still great that I even got in. I've been playing FFXII and so far it is the shit. I want to be playing it now, but I'm opting for bed (gasp! before midnight?!) so I can get some work done tomorrow. Good night!

Almost Halloween!

This weekend was fun-We saw Little Miss Sunshine for a dollar on Friday and it was amazing, then watched Final Destination 3 and Pulse (which I slept through). Saturday we went shopping and watched scary movies on tv, like Ghost Ship, while getting ready for our school dance. I dressed up as Souseiseki again. The dance was kinda lame (with no food!) so we changed and went to the gay club. We had a blast and plan to go back for the Tim Burton themed dance Tuesday.

I got a profile at Cosplay.com!

My entry for this month's Word It is up (it's near the bottom)

Keep Away From Me!

It's not that I don't love you, I just have the stomach flu :( I was fine this morning, ready to start my long day (drawing 9-4, english 6-9). Close to lunch time I started feeling sick, and I threw up in the bathroom. I left class to go back to the dorms and hopefully sleep it off. It didn't help, instead I was waking up every half hour to run the bathroom and throw up some bile. Yeah, It was pretty gross. Cheryl got back and took me to the nurse, where I was able to get some drugs. Then I found out english was cancelled. Lucky me, because I hadn't done my poems and was in no shape to do anything anyway. Now I've managed to keep down some soup, and hopefully I'll be able to get to Visual Communications. Talking to Cat made me feel better too.

So the other night I pulled what was my first all nighter in a long time, going to denny's with alex and cheryl for Alex's 21st birthday and writing my entire art history report. Needless to say, we were quite loopy for the next day :D

That's all for today, now I'm off to vector some shit.

Rain, Rain, go the F away

Today I discovered that you cannot expect to be able to wear the same shoes you jumped in puddles with the night before the next morning. Actually, I was thrown in a puddle by Alex, but at least afterward I got to run around sopping wet and yell "hug me!" It's a miracle that I'm not sick yet.

Last Sunday was when my mom, sister and aunt left for home. It was a fun weekend, and I got to go to a casino for the first time! The one here is huge, with an attached hotel and shopping center. Cheryl and I blew my aunt's $20 free play card in...20 minutes :D

And hooray for Jeffery winning Project Runway!

Other News:

Happy House of Hentai put my gift art up !

Splitreason put my t-shirt design up-Please go vote for it, I really need the money!

That's all for today, I have to go work on tomorrow's comic update. I hope to be on a monday-wednesday-friday by december, but we'll see what happens.

SITACon 2006 Report

This may be overdue, but I have a little time now that I would like to use to talk about last weekend's con. Firstly, I want to say that I had a great time and learned a great bit about the wonderfulness that is podcasting. Secondly, this was probably the smallest con that I will ever go to. Seriously, there couldn't have been more that 200 people attending, there was about 2 people in the artist alley and only 4 dealers in the dealers room. The breakdown:

Friday: The con didn't start until 7 pm, so we didn't get picked up by Waz (the only one of us that goes to Suny IT, where it was held) until then. I was surprised that my friend Jerin from home was up for the weekend and was with him when he got to our dorms. Then we got about halfway there and I realized that I had forgotten the sheet that was the only proof that I had paid for the six of us. Finally we get there and stand in line for a while, signed some waivers, and then had to wait because my roomate Cheryl's sister was underage and they wanted her mom's signature. Turned out that Cheryl could sign for her, but then by the time we got our (very nice) id tags the opening ceremonies had already started. So then we wandered a bit, we got to see the dorms there and ate some pizza. We left fairly early to go back to the dorms and so Alex and I could finish our costumes (he was going as Jack Sparrow). Stayed up till four.

Saturday: Got to the con about 1ish, wandered and talked to people. I found out that no one knows the anime Rozen Maiden, so my trials in making the costume look as true to the show as possible meant little. Hung out in Waz's room for a bit and then went to do my first ever Cosplay Contest. I had alot of fun with the other cosplayers backstage, especially the two twelve year olds dressed up as Kairi and Namine from KH2. They were so cute, they did a skit about Namine drawing a shirtless Roxas. A-freakin-dorable. They won the "Young fan" award. I quoted from the show, which was, once again, moot, but I must've done something to impress the jugdes, because I won "Most Unique". Hooray free swag!!! After that was done, we watched Entertainment System, a very awesome video game rock band, and then the Video Game Pianist, most famous for his playing of the Mario theme blindedfolded on Ebaums world. Then we took the underage one home and got back just in time for Happy House of Hentai's panel on...Hentai!!! My friends learned what futanari was (Go ahead, type it into Google images XD) and we all learned about tentacle rape. Then was a panel called "Your Favorite Anime Sucks" where the con chair, along with the guys from Geek Nights, took names of animes and said why they sucked. It was extremly funny, even with the Virgin Guy being generally annoying (this guy fought, even after they told him to shut up, for the right to tell us all that he was a virgin). Then we went home and passed out.

Sunday: We went apple picking! No seriously, Cheryl, her sister Karri, Kathleen, and I crammed into her truck illegally because we got ditched by the other four people (not cool guys, that is just not cool!). We picked a whole bunch of apples and I ate alot. Got back to the con, not dressed up but with scissors in tow :) We went to the dealers room, bought everything we wanted which for me was a con shirt, a present for Missy and a print of my costume, taken by Caffeinated Lifestyle. Then we went to another "Your Favorite Anime Sucks", went back to the dealers room, and left.

All in all, a very fun weekend (I'll put up more pics soon), but I'm behind in my homework now! I want to attend the Syracuse Heros Con on the 22nd next! And this weekend my mom, aunt and sister come to visit. So busy busy busy, but I will still have Saturday's update, even if it means not studying for my Art History test.

EDIT: I thought that I put this in but the awesome people from Caffeinated Lifestyle who took our pictures (very professionally) have tons of pics up from the con, so go check that out!
